Day 1: Arrive in Malmö
Arrive in Malmö. In the evening enjoy a guided culinary tour with 3 different tastings. Overnight in central Malmö.
Day 2: Malmö/Kristianstad 150 km
The first stop of the day is in the cozy university town of Lund for a gastronomic city tour. Continue through the Skåne region also known as “The Garden of Sweden” to the apple orchard area around Kivik. Here you can observe how this delicious fruit is transformed into even more delicious cider and juice. Overnight in Kristianstad.
Day 3: Kristianstad/Jönköping 310 km
Experience the picturesque region of Småland filled with forests, lakes, hills and the typical red wooden houses. Here you have the chance to visit the family run Skruf Glassworks, meet Swedish Moose also known as “The King of the Forest”, and enjoy a moose sausage. Overnight in Jönköping.
Day 4: Jönköping/Linköping 160 km
Continue through the picturesque landscape to the cozy village of Gränna on the beautiful Lake Vättern. Here you can visit a “Polkagris” cookery. On the way to Linköping, there will also be a stop at an ice cream factory. In Linköping we recommend a visit to the Gamla Linköping Open Air Museum. Overnight in Linköping.
Day 5: Linköping/Trollhättan 280 km
We recommend a leisurely 3-5-hour boat ride on the Göta Canal in the morning. Drive around Lake Vättern to Västergötland, where we also recommend a visit at the mansion like Läckö Castle, which is beautifully located on Lake Vänern. Overnight in Trollhättan.
Day 6: Trollhättan/Gothenburg 140 km
Continue to the beautiful tour to the coast of the West Swedish Archipelago. On Klädesholmen, the “Island of the Herrings” you will learn how to pickle herrings on your own which you can take home as a souvenir. In Gothenburg take a gastronomic food tour with a stop at the famous fish market also known as the “Fish Church”. Overnight in central Gothenburg.
Day 7: Gothenburg/Helsingborg 250 km
Continue to the beautiful drive along the Swedish Riviera to the Kullen Peninsula. Enjoy a typical Swedish “Fika” (coffee & pastry) in a traditional café. Other hightlights well worth visiting are the Sofiero Castle and Gardens and the Open-Air Museum in Helsingborg. Overnight in Helsingborg.
Day 8: Return Home Journey from Helsingborg
Take the fast ferry ride to Elsinore in Denmark while enjoying the beautiful views of the Hamlet Castle, Kronborg.
