STAFF ACTIVITIES
We organize several activities for our employees throughout the year. These are important to strengthen the camaraderie between us as colleagues. In addition to these activities, all team members go on a study trip every two years – pre-covid we went to the North Cape 2018 and September 2023 we have carried on this famtrip tradition with a great tour to Norway including Ålesund, Geiranger, "Havila" and Trondheim. Below please find some activity highlights from the past few years!
COLD REFRESHMENTS
In the summer of 2018, in the middle of our high season, a tasty surprise was waiting outside the office. To celebrate our all-time high that year, the boss had booked an ice cream truck to serve the most delicious Italian style icecream.
ON THE FINISH LINE
Many of our colleagues share a passion for running and take part in various runs at home or abroad. The annual highlight is the DHL Run in Aarhus, where most of our employees participate.
KNITTING CLUB
Some of our employees love to knit together - so they often meet after work, have dinner and then pull out the knitting equipment.
You could say they are a tight-knit group!
UP FUN CREEK WITH A LOT OF PADEL!
Another activity entered our lives last year: padel. A lot of colleagues have thrown their hat in the ring and the competition is fierce!
CAKE, CAKE AND MORE CAKE
We love cake at NORDIC TOURS. So when you have a birthday or the dentist failed in finding any holes, you must buy or bake a cake for your colleagues. Actually, we don’t need much of a reason to have a little cake with our coffee. It’s Danish hygge.
SAILING FROM AARHUS TO PARIS
As a proud sponsor, we were able to go sailing in the port of Aarhus with sailor Frederik Fomsgaard Bruun in September 2019. Frederik takes part in the European Youth competitions in a 49er class and hopes for an Olympic participation in Paris in 2024. Fingers crossed!
PANCAKE DAY
One of our firmly established traditions at NORDIC TOURS is the "Pancake day", originally from Great Britain. To the delight of the entire team, our English colleagues - true to the origin - have embraced this tasty tradition. We love pancakes and look forward to this event every year with great anticipation!
ROADSHOW
In cooperation with Destination Fyn we went on an exciting marketing tour through Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium all the way to France. Our great van was equipped with fridges and freezers. For four weeks our different sales teams visited their good partners and brought them Danish specialities and candle light cake buffets!
NORDIC PICNIC
Our staff are more than happy to offer themselves as guinea pigs – whether it is new travel destinations, products or concepts that need testing! Over the past few years, we have developed a new, exciting experience – a Nordic picnic – that takes place in our great nature. In order to test the product, we have already moved several of our lunch breaks outside and enjoyed a picnic in calming, natural surroundings.

Our annual Christmas party, our summer party, our countless info trips for the whole team. And many other activities can be mentioned, the list is long. The owner of NORDIC TOURS takes good care of her employees and supports many of the listed activities both financially and through her participation. It is important to share a great experience or a challenge, to have fun, to be on fam trips etc. And to share mutual respect and passion for what we work with.
