STAFF ACTIVITIES
We organize several activities for our employees throughout the year. These are important to strengthen the camaraderie between us as colleagues. In addition to these activities, all team members go on a study trip every two years – pre-covid we went to the North Cape 2018 and September 2023 we have carried on this famtrip tradition with a great tour to Norway including Ålesund, Geiranger, "Havila" and Trondheim. Below please find some activity highlights from the past few years!
PANCAKE DAY
One of our firmly established traditions at NORDIC TOURS is the "Pancake day", originally from Great Britain. To the delight of the entire team, two of our English colleagues used to serve freshly backed pancakes for us. For the last few years, we have booked professional pancake bakers to prepare the pancakes for us in our offices. We love pancakes and look forward to this tasty event every year!
ON THE FINISH LINE
Many of our colleagues share a passion for running and take part in various runs at home or abroad. It might be the "Royal Run" running next to H.M. the King or even a Marathon. The annual highlight is the DHL Run in Aarhus, where most of our employees participate.
COLD REFRESHMENTS
In the summer of 2018, in the middle of our high season, a tasty surprise was waiting outside the office. To celebrate our all-time high that year, the boss had booked an ice cream truck to serve the most delicious Italian style icecream.
UP FUN CREEK WITH A LOT OF PADEL!
Another activity entered our lives last year: padel. A lot of colleagues have thrown their hat in the ring and the competition is fierce!
WE ARE SAILING
As a proud sponsor, we were able to go sailing in the port of Aarhus with sailor Frederik Fomsgaard Bruun in September 2019. At that time Frederik took part in the European Youth competitions in a 49er class and had hopes for an Olympic participation in Paris in 2024. He missed the qualification - but he gave us a great day!
CAKE BUFFET AND HYGGE
We love cake at NORDIC TOURS. So when you have a birthday or the dentist failed in finding any holes, you must buy or bake a cake for your colleagues. Actually, we don’t need much of a reason to have a little cake with our coffee. It’s Danish hygge.
ROADSHOW
In cooperation with Destination Fyn we went on an exciting marketing tour through Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium all the way to France. Our great van was equipped with fridges and freezers. For four weeks our different sales teams visited their good partners and brought them Danish specialities and candle light cake buffets!
KNITTING CLUB
Some of our employees love to knit together - so they often meet after work, have dinner and then pull out the knitting equipment.
You could say they are a tight-knit group!
NORDIC PICNIC HYGGE
Our staff are more than happy to offer themselves as guinea pigs – whether it is new travel destinations, products or concepts that need testing! Before Covid we were working on an exciting experience – a Nordic pop-up picnic café in scenic surroundings under the open sky. We never really got to offer this product - but testing and tasting in itself was great!

Our annual Christmas party, our summer party, great fam trips for the whole team and many other activities. The management of NORDIC TOURS takes good care of all employees. It is so important to share a great experience or a challenge and to have fun.That is just another way of showing respect and passion for what we work with.
