Tromsø is known as the “Gateway to the Arctic” and is the perfect place to experience the Arctic phenomena of Aurora Borealis – also known as the Northern Lights. Northern Norway’s largest city is a vibrant metropolis buzzing with youthful energy and plenty of cultural attractions, and spectacularly situated amongst fjords, mountains and islands.
Day 1: Arrival
A local guide will meet you upon arrival at Tromsø Airport and ensure transfer to the city centre for a tour of this lively city. Stops can include the striking Arctic Cathedral, the Polaria Arctic Experience Centre, and maybe even a tour of the northernmost brewery in the world, MACK.
Days 2 & 3: Explore Tromsø
Spend the next two full days exploring Tromsø and the surrounding area with a ride on the cable car, Fjellheisen, a visit to a Sami settlement to see real reindeer, a Husky Safari and in the evening, a Northern Lights Safari.
Day 4: Departure
On your last day in this Arctic capital, make time for a walk in the snowy landscapes and breathe in the cold, crisp air of the North before transferring to the airport for the trip home.
