Springtime in Norway

Experience the splendour of Norwegian nature in springtime with its blooming deciduous trees, snow-capped mountains and pervasive birdsong. On this enchanting tour, you will get an impression of both urban and rural life, visiting the two biggest and most vibrant Norwegian cities, Oslo and Bergen, while moving about by foot, RIB boat and train!

Day 1: Oslo
Arrive in the royal Norwegian capital and enjoy the afternoon exploring the city at your leisure. Overnight stay in Oslo.

Day 2: Oslo – Lillehammer (170 km)
In the morning, a local guide will show you some of the most beautiful highlights, such as the Royal Palace, City Hall and Vigeland Sculpture Park. With more than 200 sculptures, the park is the life’s work of Gustav Vigeland and probably the largest sculpture park by a single artist. In the afternoon, travel from Oslo to Lillehammer, where you can immerse yourself in the history of the Olympic Games from 1896 until present day in the Norwegian Olympic Museum. In 1994, the fantastic Winter Olympics took place in Lillehammer – and the flame of the Olympic spirit is still burning bright today! Overnight stay in Lillehammer.

Day 3: Lillehammer – Flåm (280 km)
On the way to Flåm, pass by Borgund Stave Church and through the Laerdal Tunnel. This is the longest road tunnel in the world and was built to create a road connection between Bergen and Oslo that could be used throughout the winter. In the afternoon, enjoy a RIB-boat adventure and experience the UNESCO-listed Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord in only 2 hours and 15 minutes. Take in the breathtaking scenery, stories, and history narrated by your personal guide, who will get you up close to nature like seals, porpoises, and eagles along the way. Alternatively, challenge yourself with a hike to Brekkefossen waterfall, featuring grandiose views. Overnight stay in Flåm.

Day 4: Flåm – Bergen (200 km)
In the morning, board the world-renowned Flåm Railway for the journey from Flåm, set in the heart of the Aurlandsfjord, to the high mountains of Myrdal. This train ride features some of the most stunning scenery in western Norway. In Myrdal, change to the Bergen Railway and continue by train to Voss, then coach to Bergen. In the afternoon, a local guide will showcase the second largest city in Norway, featuring the picturesque Bryggen quarter and fish market, as well as the Fløibanen funicular with views from the top of Mount Fløyen. Overnight stay in Bergen.

Day 5: Bergen/Departure
Enjoy the rest of your time in beautiful Bergen before the return journey home.
