On top of the special seasonal highlights, these four captivating cities also charm with their historic old towns and characteristic architecture, set in a spectacular winter scene.
Day 1: Stockholm
You will be welcomed by a local guide at Stockholm Airport for your transfer into the city, where you will take a city tour through this “Venice of the North.” Overnight stay in Stockholm.
Day 2: Stockholm
In the morning, stroll through Stockholm’s beautiful “Gamla Stan” (Old Town), home to one of the city’s largest Christmas markets in December. In the late afternoon, embark on Silja Line for the crossing to Latvia. Overnight stay onboard Silja Line.
Day 3: Riga
Arrive midday in Riga. On a guided city tour, see the most important sights, including the Old Town with its Cathedral Square, the Freedom Monument, House of the Blackheads and the Central Market on the Daugava River. The first Christmas tree in Riga was decorated at the Town Hall Square approximately 500 years ago, and to this day, a new Christmas tree makes the Town Hall Square shine in Christmas splendour every year. Day 4: Riga – Tallinn (317 km)
Continue the journey to Tallinn, where you can start exploring Estonia’s capital city with a guided city tour. This is an exceptionally well-preserved medieval trading city in northern Europe, and its Old Town was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 1997. In addition to the colourful houses, the city wall’s turrets create an enchanting atmosphere in the city. The Town Hall Square has been the centre of Christmas festivities and traditions since the mid-15th century. Overnight stay in Tallinn.
Day 5: Tallinn – Helsinki
After a 2-hour ferry crossing to Helsinki, your local guide will escort you around the beautiful capital city of Finland. Helsinki is known for its Senate Square with the Lutheran Cathedral, the Rock Church, Market Square with Market Hall, the Sibelius Monument and the Olympic Stadium. Overnight stay in Helsinki.
Day 6: Helsinki – Stockholm
Before leaving Helsinki on the ferry to Stockholm in the early evening, explore Helsinki at your own pace and revisit one of the many highlights of this maritime city. Afternoon transfer to the ferry terminal for an overnight stay onboard Silja Line.
Day 7: Stockholm/Departure
Enjoy any extra time exploring this picturesque Scandinavian city on your own before returning home.
