A versatile journey on which you discover important Scandinavian cities and simultaneously immerse yourself in an authentic Nordic winter.

Tour the famous Vasa Museum, which tells the spectacular story of the Vasa shipwreck of 1628. In the evening, board the night train to Narvik.

Day 4: Narvik – Svolvær (220 km)
Coach pick-up at the hotel, where you will embark on the scenic journey to the majestical Lofoten archipelago. Overnight stay in Svolvær.

Day 5: Svolvær & Hurtigruten
Lofoten also impresses in winter with its beautiful landscape. The imposing mountain walls with their icy peaks, the blue-black water and the unrelenting cold reveal the harsh side of Nordic winter, while the characteristic red houses in idyllic fishing villages add a splash of colour to the white landscape. In Henningsvær, pay a visit to Lofotens Hus gallery, which features the largest art collection of northern Norwegian paintings from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century, as well as original works by Queen Sonja. In the evening, embark on HURTIGRUTEN.

Day 6: Hurtigruten
Cruise along the picturesque Helgeland coast. Surrounded by peaceful silence, enjoy the simple beauty of nature. On today’s stage of the journey, you will cross the Arctic Circle. This is celebrated on deck with a spoonful of cod liver oil – a taste of Arctic tradition. Scenic highlights include the ‘Seven Sisters’ mountain range and the ‘Torghatten’ mountain rock. Full board from the excellent Hurtigruten kitchen is included.

Day 7: Trondheim
Morning arrival in Trondheim. Bus pick-up at Hurtigruten Quay for the ride into town. Visit Nidaros Cathedral, the most important pilgrimage site in the North in the Middle Ages. Overnight stay in Trondheim.

Day 8: Trondheim – Oslo (495 km)
In the morning, board the train and let the beautiful winter landscape pass you by on your way to Oslo. In the afternoon, spend a few hours exploring this buzzing Norwegian capital. Highlights include the famous shopping street, Karl Johan, the Royal Palace, Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Opera House and Akerhus Fortress. Overnight stay in central Oslo.
