Enjoyment is at the forefront of this trip to cozy Funen. Denmark's third largest island boasts an exciting chocolate and wine route where in beautiful settings, you can enjoy a wide range of tasty specialties. Enjoy many highlights in and around Odense, the largest city on the island. Sail on the Odense River stroll through the 200-year-old romantic garden Sanderumgaard and visit a magical moated Egeskov Castle.

Day 1: Arrive in Middelfart
Spend 4 nights in the beautiful Comwell Hotel Middelfart.

Day 2: Excursion to the Fairytale City of Odense
After breakfast start the day in Odense with a sightseeing tour in the old part of the city, where we will follow in the footsteps of the world-famous storyteller H.C. Andersen. Continuing with the fairytale theme, enjoy a leisurely boat tour on the Odense River. We will end the day with a visit to the 200-year-old Romantic garden of Sanderumgaard where the group will be welcomed with coffee and cake.

Day 3: Egeskov Castle & The Chocolate Route
Today the royal tour starts with a visit to Egeskov Castle. Egeskov is Europe’s best-preserved Renaissance water castle.  The castle is in an enchanting park with colorful flowers and boasts 2 fantastic museums: The Veterans Museum and the Motorcycle Museum. The Chocolate Route of Funen is a must for those with a sweet tooth. Funen has some of the best chocolate factories in Denmark.

Day 4: Excursion for Wine and Castle lovers
It's might be hard to believe, but wine is actually grown on Funen! Continue along the wine route and visit the Skaarupøre Winery with its old farmhouse and large wine barrels. The group will be invited for a guided tour including wine tasting with 3 different wines and homemade bread with flour from a local mill. Our last destination of the day is Valdemars Slot on the island of Tåsinge. One of the most impressive castles on Funen.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to Funen and see you soon again!
