Once the land of the notorious and brutal Vikings, and home to the poetic fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, Denmark now flourishes in a modern society combining its rich history with a stylish way of life.

Day 1: Copenhagen                      
Arrive inWonderful Copenhagen”.  There are many attractions to see in this cultural city from the Royal Palaces and Castles to the new Opera house, Tivoli Gardens, and of course the Little mermaid herself.  You can also leisurely explore the many winding streets, enjoy the café life and admire the many specialty and designer boutiques.  Overnight in Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen and Great Castles
Today, embark on a historic tour that will take you through Copenhagen and the surrounding area, taking you to the magnificent Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, the fascinating Frederiksborg Castle and then to the Viking town of Roskilde before heading back to Copenhagen. Overnight in Copenhagen.

Day 3: Copenhagen – Odense – Aarhus (314 km)                           

Today’s journey will take you across the second largest suspension bridge in the world to Funen and onwards to Jutland. The first stop is at the beautiful Renaissance Egeskov Castle and Gardens. Next, travel onwards to Odense, the birthplace of writer Hans Christian Andersen. Hans Christian Andersen’s stories and fairy tales are famous worldwide; In Odense you can visit his childhood home and museum or take a guided tour to give you a full insight into the life and times of this much-loved character. After Odense, the tour continues to Jutland arriving in Aarhus, Denmark’s 2nd largest city. Overnight in Aarhus.

Day 4: Aarhus
Aarhus is a modern and vibrant city with a relaxed pace without forgetting its Viking roots.  Here you can visit the beautiful new Moesgaard Museum and possibly also Den Gamle By (the old town) made of original houses from many different centuries to experience living Danish history as it once was. You can also choose to experience modern culture by visiting ARoS art museum featuring a fantastic panoramic rainbow roof top or just relax at a café on the trendy canal front. Overnight in Aarhus.

Day 5: Aarhus-Copenhagen        
Today you will travel back to Zeeland via Funen and the Great Belt Bridge on to Copenhagen. Depart Copenhagen.
